Creative Computing Club – Self Driving Cars (ages 9-12)
Rev up your engines and get ready to join the driverless car revolution! Oxford is home to some of the most exciting tech advances in driverless cars so this month’s club focuses on driverless tech in miniature. Our Micro:bit buggies have been rigged with an infra-red sensor and reader, but they need some help to become autonomous. Junior learner drivers will learn how to code our mini-fleet to move around on its own, to tell the difference between light and dark surfaces and make sure it stays on the road. There’s also the chance to create a maze to follow and test out other peoples..
Why not come along to Maker Club Juniors Micro:city on 14th July to take your self-driving car for a test drive? Look out for a discount code to get both workshops for £16.
9-12 year olds sessions must be accompanied by an adult.
Science Oxford welcomes all children to our clubs. If you or your child has additional needs, please get in touch on [email protected] to discuss how we can best support your child to make the most of the club.
We recommend beginners come along to the 10am session and those who have been coming to our clubs for a little while or have some knowledge already to come to the 12.30pm session.
