School visiting Information


The health and well-being of our visitors and staff is our highest priority. Following Government recommendations to minimise the risk of person-to-person transmission of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have closed the Science Oxford Centre until further notice. In the meantime, please keep up-to-date with Science Oxford by following us on social media or sign up for our newsletter. Thank you for your support and understanding.


We’re looking forward to welcoming your school group to the Science Oxford Centre when we can re-open our programme.

Your visit will be for the whole day, from 10.00 – 14.00 and we can accommodate up to 100 pupils a day, divided into 3 groups.

You can book for 1,2 or 3 groups from your school. Your visit includes a session in the Exploration Zone plus a Workshop, and a Show or a Wild Walk in the woodland.

The Science Oxford Centre opened for primary school and early years visits from September 2019. Bookings are currently closed.

  • Accompanying adults FREE of charge
  • Minimum group charge is £160*
  • Member schools would get a 15% discount*

Getting here

By coach or mini bus – Depending on the size of the vehicle your group is coming in, drop off is either at the top of the drive on Quarry Road (5 minute walk along drive to the centre) or at the entrance to the centre.
