The health and well-being of our visitors and staff is our highest priority. We are following Government recommendations to minimise the risk of person-to-person transmission of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and have put new measures in place to ensure you can enjoy your time at the Science Oxford Centre safely. You will find this information on our booking page and will email you with further details before your visit. You can also view our Risk Assessment For Schools.
We are now limiting our Science Oxford Centre bookings to one school per day so that any school visiting will not come in to contact with any other school during their time with us. We can accommodate class bubbles, year group bubbles, and are happy to discuss what we can do if you have any other bubble arrangements.
We will work with each school to ensure you have a safe visit. Please contact us to discuss your requirements on 01865 810 003 or email [email protected]
We’re looking forward to welcoming your school group to the Science Oxford Centre. We are now open for school bookings.
Your visit will be for the whole day, from 10.00–14.00 and we can accommodate up to 100 pupils a day, divided into 3 groups.
By coach or on foot – if you are travelling to the Science Oxford Centre by coach or on foot, we will meet you on Quarry Road at the entrance to Douglas Downes Close from 9:45am.
A member of staff will ensure your safety walking up the road. The road is inaccessible to coaches and if the weather is wet you will need to make sure children are protected from the rain. The walk up to site takes 5-10 minutes. We will walk you back down the drive at the end of your visit.
If your school are travelling via coach, please download the coach and bus route map to pass on to your travel provider.
By minibus – the driveway is accessible to minibuses and we have two dedicated parking spaces on-site. Please let us know in advance if you are coming by minibus.
The Science Oxford Centre is designed to be accessible to anyone with disability and mobility needs or other special requirements. Please contact us in advance to discuss your circumstances on 01865 810003 or email [email protected]
