Budding engineers can design and build a model car to test out on our course. Powered by a rubber band, how far and fast will it go? Can they test and adapt their design to improve the car’s performance? This engaging workshop is just as much fun for accompanying adults.

Booking is via the Roald Dahl Museum. £4.50 per participant. Adults are welcome to pay to make their own. Price does not include Museum entry which you will also need to book to take part in the workshop. Under 16s will need to be accompanied by an adult (no more than two non-participating adults will be allowed in the room per group). Participating children aged 2 to 6 years will still need to pay.

Primary School Shows and Workshops

We would usually expect one member of Science Oxford staff to be able to provide three activities in a day. Most of our shows are suitable for up to 60 children and most of our workshops for up to 30 children. We will create a draft timetable for you based on the information you provide below.
