Duration: Taster – 1.5 hours
Suitable For: Teaching staff, ECTs, TAs, science leads

Taster 2 – Creative Investigations: A hands-on exploration of different types of practical investigations suitable for KS1 and KS2. This course demonstrates how small changes to how practical science is delivered can increase the level of thinking and enjoyment. Curriculum topics covered in the course can be adapted to the requirements of the school.

Taster 2 Creative Investigations Course Outcomes 

How to encourage higher order thinking and problem solving skills.

Practical ideas to take straight back into the classroom.

Address topic areas which are less suited to fair test type investigations

We would usually expect one member of Science Oxford staff to be able to provide three activities in a day. Most of our shows are suitable for up to 60 children and most of our workshops for up to 30 children. We will create a draft timetable for you based on the information you provide below.
