Kit Loan
Suitable For: KS2

micro:bit is a tiny programmable computer, designed to make learning and teaching easy and fun. It provides a more approachable method to computing than just teaching coding.

Starting with some programming basics, you’ll teach your students to code using either the micro:bit’s Javascript Block Editor (a graphic coding language similar to Scratch), or the text-based language Python.

Follow our set of 6 lesson plans to introduce your students to all of the amazing features of the micro:bit, such as the temperature sensor, accelerometer and wireless transmission, and see what amazing creative project ideas they come up with over the term!

Not feeling confident that you could start from scratch?  Why not check out our twilight CPD session to learn the basics of programming and ask any questions you have.
