Maker Club: Let’s Get Gaming!
You probably won’t remember classic computer games like Snake or Pong (one of the earliest arcade games and launched in 1972) but they are now considered classics. For this month’s Maker Club we’re going retro and creating our own versions of arcade games using Micro:bits. Some of the games can be made into two-player challenges, so we will wire the micro:bits to each other and get competitive. We’ll also be giving the dice a makeover – create a digital dice, and everyone will get a 3D printed dice to take home.
A great introduction to coding and video game design. Makers who have been before are welcome to bring along a project of their own to work on.
All sessions are unaccompanied, please ensure you have filled out a Parental Permission Form available here or at the club.
Science Oxford welcomes all children to our clubs. If your child has additional needs, please get in touch on [email protected] to discuss how we can best support your child to make the most of the club.
