Fire Show (age 7+) SOLD OUT
Remember, remember, the fifth of November, Gunpowder, treason and plot. This autumn season Custard powder’s the reason Fire never will be forgot!
Imagine the noise, explosions and fire if master gunpowder plotter Guy Fawkes had been successful in blowing up the House of Lords in order to kill the king back in 1605. Well, now you can sample a little bit of that attempted ‘big bang’ as Science Oxford explores the science behind fire, explosions and fireworks.
With live demonstrations and audience interaction, celebrate all things firey with a (safe) look at flammability, the fire triangle and how a few kitchen cupboard essentials can help extinguish a flame. Find out if your cash is combustible and enjoy a tornado with a difference as we explore how weird weather + fire can wreak havoc in the wild. This show includes live demonstrations and loud noises so this show is not for the faint of heart.
Science Oxford will be running two shows. All children must be supervised. For more information and to book visit www.cogges.org.uk.
Reservations are only required for the participating child but everyone will need a Cogges entry ticket to visit the site. The shows are free for season ticket holders or included in Cogges day tickets, plus £1 per person booking fee to help cover costs.
