We know our robot buggies are fast, but just how fast? Inspired by cutting edge automobile research and technology, we’ll explore what makes a car move and how to measure it’s speed. Budding racers will build and test balloon cars, rubber band cars and electric cars, before setting them to race alongside Micro:bit buggies and using timing gates to record the top speed. Which car will reach the line first?

All Maker Club Juniors sessions must be accompanied by an adult.

Science Oxford welcomes all children to our clubs. If you or your child has additional needs, please get in touch on [email protected] to discuss how we can best support your child to make the most of the club.
