There are spooky goings on here at Science Oxford, with materials such as sugar, soap and steel doing very strange things. Bring along your young chemists for some experimental fun – they’ll use a burner to heat up various materials and watch what happens, before using their new found knowledge to create some creepy candle decorations to take home.

A monthly email from Science Oxford with news, activities and resources on our Science Oxford Centre, outreach and training programmes for primary school teachers.

In our inflatable planetarium you can see the night sky as it really is. We’ll show you how to navigate the stars, demonstrate how the movement of the Earth creates night and day and how the sky changes through the seasons. We’ll hear some of the stories our ancestors told about the cosmos and how these relate to what we know today. For ages 6-10.
