CREST Award – Silver

Award Programmes

Duration: 30+ hours

Suitable For: 14-16 yrs

Silver Awards stretch students and enrich their studies. You can choose any topic you or your students would like to research and turn it into a CREST project. The most important thing is that there is an element of investigation and exploration, and that the project sets out to answer a question or solve a problem.

At the end of the project, students need to write a report to introduce, describe and evaluate their work. The project are externally assessed, usually the local coordinator or the project mentor.

Primary School Shows and Workshops

Lunchtime (including availability of the hall due to setup/cleaning if you use the hall for lunch)

We would usually expect one member of Science Oxford staff to be able to provide three activities in a day. Most of our shows are suitable for up to 60 children and most of our workshops for up to 30 children. We will create a draft timetable for you based on the information you provide below.
