Gold Awards allow students to conduct real research. They are longer-term projects and should contribute something new to the scientific or technological community or to a particular field of study. Gold CREST projects require a mentor who can offer their experience, knowledge and enthusiasm to help inspire your students.
At the end of the project, students will need to write a report to introduce, describe and evaluate their work. The project will be externally assessed, usually by the local coordinator or a STEM professional.
