STEM Insight Weeks

Our STEM Insight Weeks aim to inspire year 10 students to pursue further education and STEM careers.

Each week is a busy schedule of interactive skills-based workshops and visits to local STEM employers and facilities. Our workshops and skills sessions are aimed at providing the skills needed during higher education and the broader world of work, whether this is writing an up-to-date and engaging CV, how to find out about particular jobs and methods of work to suit individual students, or even mindfulness and stress management.

We also aim to offer a wide range of external business visits as well as insightful career advice from STEM workers – from an apprentice to the CEO.

Enriching half-terms

Our STEM Insight Weeks are run during half-terms. Our most recent STEM Insight Week took place over February half term, and included interactive sessions with STEM businesses, GE Healthcare, Habitat Energy and Oxford PV, valuable skills development workshops, and a mini-project.

Invaluable experience to learn about the world of computer science and explore career options. I definitely recommend that future Year 10 students apply to take part. Thank you Science Oxford!
