Winter Conservation Day at Stansfeld Park
The days are already getting longer and spring is not far away! Get out and enjoy nature this winter and join our Oxford Conservation Volunteers (OCV) led Conservation Day. Run in partnership with the amazing OCV, we are working to rejuvenate the 15 acres of woodland, ponds and grassland at Stansfeld and create a fantastic space for primary school visitors and the local community to enjoy.
We’ll be constructing hand rails, marking out paths through the woodland and generally spring cleaning ahead of the 2019 opening. As usual, we’ll keep a bonfire going to warm hearts and minds throughout the day. Unfortunately, due to the use of power tools, this task may not be suitable for small children.
We provide hot drinks and biscuits – please bring a packed lunch if you plan to stay all day.
Join us on site at 9:45am for a 10am start, finishing up around 4pm, but please free to attend for as long as you can spare. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for their safety. Please contact us if you have any queries; email [email protected] or call 01865 810012.
