The Fire Show

Shows & Workshops
Duration: 60 min
Suitable For: KS2

The Fire Show is designed for up to 60 children.

Fire: both the comfort of the hearth, and the danger of the inferno. We examine the nature of fire, answer your burning questions, and learn how fire can be controlled.

Framed against the principles of the fire triangle, this explosive show embraces the power of fire in a safe and controlled setting – just don’t try our demonstrations at home!

Discover how an understanding of science can save lives, how to make a mini fire extinguisher in your kitchen, and learn how dangerous fire can be in the wrong weather.

Can you burn custard powder? Is that real money you’re setting fire to? What makes fireworks so pretty? Find out all this, and more, in this engaging exploration of the science behind fire.

An alternative to this show combining the science and the history of the Great Fire of London is also available.
