All are welcome to join the Oxford Conservation Volunteers at Stansfeld Park. The team will be doing a range of tasks including installing handrails to a boardwalk, scything and raking a meadow and clearing scrub to open up areas of this woodland nestled alongside the ring road in Headington.

We’ve teamed up with Oxford Conservation Volunteers (OCV) to run some woodland clearing days at The Oxford Trust’s Stansfeld Park in Headington Quarry – the site which will be home to our new innovation and science education centre in 2018. Currently the 15-acre woodland on the site is very overgrown, with brambles blocking footpaths and ponds hidden behind and beneath overgrowth.

We want to restore the woods back to their past glory, ready for schools and the local community to enjoy once Stansfeld Park is open for business.

OCV days are open to under 16 year olds as long as they are accompanied and fill out a parental consent form– visit ocv.org.uk
