Scientists in School provides teachers with a range of ideas, resources and contacts for bringing scientists into their schools and how best to work with them to raise children’s science capital.

Course Outcomes

Understanding the concept of science capital and how teachers can develop it for their children.
Different ways of working with scientist visitors to your classroom and interactive activities and approaches that can be used with/by them to develop children’s science capital.
How to find and make contact with scientists to visit your classroom.

Primary School Shows and Workshops

Lunchtime (including availability of the hall due to setup/cleaning if you use the hall for lunch)

We would usually expect one member of Science Oxford staff to be able to provide three activities in a day. Most of our shows are suitable for up to 60 children and most of our workshops for up to 30 children. We will create a draft timetable for you based on the information you provide below.
