This month we are celebrating Diwali – the Hindu festival of light. Diwali celebrates the victory of good over evil and lamps and candles are lit as a sign of celebration and hope. With Papercraft we’ll explore explore light, dark and the shadows in-between by creating shadow puppets to tell traditional stories. Young crafters will discover the properties of everyday materials and make predictions as they investigate. And to mark this special festival, they’ll create a scented candle to take and light at home.

All Saturday Science Club sessions must be accompanied by an adult.

Science Oxford welcomes all children to our clubs. If you or your child has additional needs, please get in touch on [email protected] to discuss how we can best support your child to make the most of the club.
