There’s nothing quite like finding a frog in the long grass of the back garden, watching a snail slime its way along the path or spotting a squirrel attack next door’s bird feeder, but what makes the perfect home for each?

With a few clues from evolution, this workshop explores where the wild things live. Our mini-ecologists will learn about habitats and homes, get dressed up in animal disguise and study the habitat that fits them best – whether it’s a sett, burrow, nest or lair. They’ll use play dough, craft and natural materials to design their own  habitat, and create a creature to live there.

All Saturday Science Club sessions must be accompanied by an adult.

Science Oxford welcomes all children to our clubs. If you or your child has additional needs, please get in touch on [email protected] to discuss how we can best support your child to make the most of the club.
