Free, Just drop in

Come and join in with Fun Palaces 2017 – a free, nationwide festival of arts and science, and a fun and enlightening day for young theatre and science enthusiasts. With loads of hands-on activities and experiments; make your own puppet, complete a treasure hunt and much more, including workshops and performances.

Everyone an Artist, Everyone a Scientist! Thanks to a new scientific outreach grant from the Biochemical Society, Science Oxford will be teaming up with the Oxford Playhouse and the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics (WTCHG) this October to create a Fun Palace interactive event for all the family. At ‘DNA Detectives‘, investigate clues that will help us crack our case! To help us solve the puzzle, we’ll show you how to extract some strawberry DNA, create your very own finger print family tree and add your own section to our huge K’Nex Double Helix!

It’s all free, so don’t miss this exciting family fun day and your chance to get hands-on with the science behind theatre.
