To celebrate the launch of National Nest Box Week, join us up at Stansfeld Park for a conservation-themed family workshop to build a nest box. Construct a nest box to suit a variety of garden birds using hand and power tools (all tools and materials will be provided) and learn about why different birds like different shaped boxes. You can take your box home or choose a tree in the park woodland to locate it. The workshop concludes with a guided walk through the woodland to choose a suitable site to locate your new bird house if you’d like to donate it.

Please note that, as we’ll be using real tools, each child must be accompanied by an adult. Limited toilet and hand- washing facilities will be available but please come ready to work in an outdoor environment.

Suitable for ages 5-9
