All children love playing doctors and nurses, but what about robotic surgeons? At the first of our new Maker Club Juniors workshops for 9-12 year-olds, they’ll create and play a ‘maker’ version of the classic game Operation. Using little more than cardboard, tinfoil, wires and buzzers, they will build a “patient” before working as a team to program robot arms to help remove the poorly parts – whether that’s Charlie’s Horse or the Funny Bone. A fun exploration of the human body combined with a taste of technology.

All Maker Club Junior sessions must be accompanied by an adult.

Science Oxford welcomes all children to our clubs. If you or your child has additional needs, please get in touch on [email protected] to discuss how we can best support your child to make the most of the club.
