Maker Club Juniors – 3D Papercraft
This month we will be turning origami on its head at our perfectly papertastic folding workshop. Warm up with some fun folding activities before taking on a challenge to assemble a 3D paper sculpture. Our young origami masters will shape their mathematical and creative problem-solving skills as they think in three dimensions and become familiar with the material they’re working in. Finally, they’ll turn their hands to pop-up box cards, using the skills they’ve practised to design a colourful, collapsible greetings box they can take home at the end. And that’s a wrap!
All Maker Club Juniors sessions must be accompanied by an adult.
Science Oxford welcomes all children to our clubs. If you or your child has additional needs, please get in touch on [email protected] to discuss how we can best support your child to make the most of the club.
Science Oxford is committed to inclusion and we recognise that cost is sometimes a barrier. Funded places for eligible families are now available, thanks to the Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust. Families could be eligible for these places for several reasons, for example if your child receives free school meals or is a looked-after child.
