Creative Computing Club – Firecracking Coders (Ages 9-12)
We’re celebrating Chinese New Year by showing our young programmers how to code their own fireworks display. Using Python and a BBC micro:bit, they’ll design their own fire-cracking show – including getting the timings bang on for a perfect display! But the show doesn’t end there – all the finished firework productions will be loaded onto Sky Fawkes, a space-themed Raspberry Pi robot, who will play the displays during Pi Wars in March! It’s a great chance to watch our coders’ work come to life.
9-12 year olds sessions must be accompanied by an adult.
Science Oxford welcomes all children to our clubs. If you or your child has additional needs, please get in touch on [email protected] to discuss how we can best support your child to make the most of the club.
We recommend beginners come along to the 10am session and those who have been coming to our clubs for a little while or have some knowledge already to come to the 12.30pm session.
