Woodlice are amazing, find out why! We can see from prehistoric fossils that woodlice evolved over millions and millions of years, so they have super-strong survival skills. Make a LEGO woodlice maze to navigate, and collect materials in the woodland for scientific experiments* to test their decision making. Do they like light or dark, wet or dry, soil or leaves? Play the woodlouse game, and make a paper curl up crustacean to take home. *No woodlouse will be harmed in our experiments, and will safely return to their woodland habitat!

£5 additional adult/s ticket admittance to Science Club and outside areas and the visitor cafe. All attendees need a ticket, for under 3’s we recommend the Family Day instead.

Event Details
Children must be accompanied by an adult during the club and all our activities are designed for adults and children to work together. Led by our expert club leaders, try out bespoke activities designed to provide science-inspired fun challenges. There is a different theme each week so we and you are always learning something new!
Nature Club is usually held in our workshop space, with some outdoor activities in most sessions, weather permitting. Explore the natural world in different ways each month, where you will be making the most of the beautiful surroundings at the Science Oxford Centre. With ponds, woodlands and meadows on our doorstep, children can explore and investigate the plants and animals that live alongside us, discover the simple beauty of natural objects and learn how everything in an ecosystem is interconnected.
