Outdoors at the Science Oxford Centre

Explore, discover, play and enjoy the outdoors at the Science Oxford Centre. With 15 acres of woodland, green space and ponds to explore there’s always something to do and see, whatever the weather. Why not bring a picnic!

*Please note that only assistant dogs are allowed on site. No other dogs are permitted to enter the woodland or buildings at any time.

Woodland, trails and ponds

If you are visiting the Centre for a Family Day (every Saturday), STEM Club or holiday workshop, your ticket includes access to our woodland all day. Pick up our woodland map, follow the trails and spot the local wildlife and plants.

Explorer Backpacks

Environmental adventurers go wild outdoors with our Explorer Backpacks. Including a compass, magnifying glass and bug pot, creature spotter chart and white board for recording finds, there’s lots to keep intrepid young explorers busy!

Nature Club

Our seasonal science-inspired Nature Club runs monthly at the Centre. Investigate everything from wildlife to eco-friendly planet power with hands-on indoor-outdoor sessions. For ages 5-9 plus an adult.

Woodland Conservation
