Egg Drop Challenge

Science Club

Ages 5-9, Families

How can you drop an egg without breaking it? That’s the challenge at our egg-citing workshop at Science Club Abingdon! Fledgling engineers build towers to support rubber eggs, then design an ‘egg-protection device’ for the drop made from balloons, plastic-bag-parachutes or crack-proof vests! A great opportunity to think and experiment, have fun with the laws of physics – and drop some eggs! If you haven’t already booked, you’d better get cracking…

All STEM Club sessions must be accompanied by an adult. These family workshops are designed for you and your child to learn from each other and work together while trying out new things.

Our fun sessions for ages 5-9 are designed to engage children and their families with STEM: science, technology, engineering and maths. Through entertaining demos and hands-on activities, children have a chance to learn, explore, question and investigate different areas of science. Each month has a different theme, so you can try something new each time if you attend regularly.
