We are delighted to welcome Sarah Townson to the Science Oxford team as our new Technology Projects Officer. She will be developing exciting computing and engineering activities and workshops for young people and running our computing clubs.

Sarah has a degree in physics from Birmingham University and previously worked as a science technician as well as having responsibility for co-ordinating projects for STEM Sussex. She also loves singing (especially Gilbert and Sullivan), is learning German hopes to pass her driving test soon so she can deliver our workshops all over the region.

Sarah is busy planning Crafty Christmas CodeBug workshops for kids and adults on 10th December, where participants will learn how to program a tiny CodeBug computer so it scrolls festive messages and animations –  and then design a festive cover for the CodeBug, complete with bells, ribbons and googly eyes!
Watch this film to see Sarah demonstrating the CodeBug and what to expect at this fun hands-on session!
