Amazing Animals new school show announced for KS1 and FS

Thursday 11th October 2018

After numerous requests from Key Stage One teachers for a show for their classes that covers some of the biology content of the curriculum, we’ve been working hard over the summer to create our new Amazing Animals show. Inspired by the 2017 summer reading challenge, early versions of the show have already delighted young families across Oxfordshire and we are finally satisfied that our final version combines curriculum content, amazing facts and plenty of hands-on science.

Looking at a range of topics, including where animals live, how they use their senses and why there are so many different species, the show is engaging and interactive, keeping even the wriggliest of classes captivated. We haven’t forgotten the Early Years either; we’ve adapted a version of the show to be suitable for reception classes. A shorter show means less sitting and listening but still plenty of learning and fun.

Suitable for up to 60 children, the show is based around our Thinking, Doing, Talking Science philosophy and so features plenty of questioning, discussion and higher order thinking as well as a 3D printed dog skull, a stuffed owl, dressing up and an incredible octopus video (trust me – it truly is amazing!).

We’d love to hear what you and your class think of the show, so we are offering a limited number of member schools the chance to see the show for free, in exchange for your feedback. If you’re interested in hosting a performance for your class, get in touch via email on [email protected] or give us a ring on 01865 810000.
