About the session:

This targeted CPD session is designed to support new and less experienced science subject leaders in developing the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to lead science effectively within their school.

Participants will:

  • Explore a range of approaches to auditing, monitoring, and evaluating science provision, and consider which strategies are likely to have the greatest impact in their own setting
  • Develop a broader repertoire of assessment-for-learning strategies and identify those most appropriate for implementation within their school
  • Access and explore a range of practical resources, tools, and guidance to support them in their leadership role
  • Reflect on effective science leadership practices and create an action plan for next steps in their setting.

This session will provide practical, evidence-informed support to help science subject leaders strengthen science teaching and learning across their school.
