Strengthening Science: Year Group-Specific CPD

 

About the sessions:

This year group-specific CPD session is designed to build confidence in subject knowledge and provide ideas for purposeful practical work in each year group. You’ll explore key areas of the curriculum, including the more challenging concepts, and experience a variety of activities that bring science to life.

Participants will:

• Understand how their Year’s science curriculum can nurture curiosity and support the development of young scientists
• Identify common misconceptions and explore effective strategies for addressing and reshaping students’ understanding
• Discover practical, hands-on approaches that embed scientific enquiry and skills in everyday teaching,

These sessions will equip you with resources, strategies, and inspiration to make science exciting, accessible, and impactful in your classroom.
