About the session:

Monitoring is a vital part of the subject leader’s role, helping to secure consistency and quality in primary science for all children. However, it can also be time-consuming. In this session, we will explore focused, efficient monitoring approaches that help you make the best use of your time while answering the key questions that matter most. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from other schools, share effective practice, and gather fresh ideas for teaching and learning in science.

By participating, you will:

  • Develop a stronger understanding of the progression of scientific knowledge and skills across different age ranges
  • Identify whether curriculum content has been fully covered and pinpoint any gaps
  • Gain inspiration from a range of effective teaching strategies and approaches.
