Science Oxford Library tour is Magic this summer

Wednesday 27th June 2018

We’re out on tour again this summer with our fabulous library tour, which brings the best of Science Oxford’s interactive and engaging science shows out to venues across the county.

The Science of Magic is one of our most popular shows, using magic tricks to explain some amazing scientific phenomena. This year, its creator Mike Dennis has come up with a new set of magical challenges, puzzles and mysteries to wow family audiences – and we decided the library tour was a great way to launch this new version of our favourite show.

The Science of Magic Library Tour will be on the road from 13th – 15th August, visiting Woodstock, Chipping Norton, Chinnor, Cowley, Berinsfield, central Oxford and Headington.

Supported by Blackwells and Oxford University Press – who will be donating a Winnie the Witch book to every library taking part – there will be a range of interactive demos and lots of audience participation. Just for starters, we’ve got mysterious ketchup, psychic tinned food, colour-changing liquids and disappearing water.

So why not grab your broom and come along for an entertaining and intriguing hour of science sorcery.

The shows are suitable for ages 6-11 and are free to attend, please book direct via the libraries.
