Summer of Science Film Production Internship open call for applications

Calling budding film makers! Science Oxford are looking to hire an intern with experience of film production to work with our communications team over the summer to produce a film about our summer family events. Science Oxford runs a series of summer clubs and workshops during the summer holiday weeks. These take place at venues in Oxford, Banbury, Bicester and Witney. We would like to create a film about the clubs, to use on our website, social media channels and YouTube channel to promote our family programme and leverage support for the charity. Here are some examples of films we have made in the past to inspire you;

We are looking for someone who perhaps is already doing a film production course or has recently completed their training and wants to put his or her skills in to practise. You will work closely with the Digital Communications Officer to plan a schedule of filming – which is likely to be 4/5 days – based on a brief from the Director of Communications. You will be responsible for capturing and editing footage to create a (up to) two-minute film for use online. You can either work from home or your studio, or use a desk here at our central Oxford offices.

£10 per hour/up to 50 hours (plus travel costs.)

Essential

Demonstrable experience in making short films for business/corporate use.

Evidence of completion or participation in film production course/training

Must be aged 18+

Driving licence essential and access to a car
