The 75th Anniversary of VE Day, the end of the second world war, was celebrated in May 2020. Due to the coronavirus restrictions, most VE Day 75 events and street parties had to be cancelled or postponed, so the BBC ran a bunting making campaign for your window!
You can make your own bunting to display in your window to mark many other occasions coming up. Visit the BBC website for some great resources, a jaunty ‘how to’ video, templates to cut out, design ideas and a step by step guide. You can use any paper, cereal boxes, string, ribbon, sweet wrappers, felt pens, poster paint you have or whatever you can find.
