If you enjoyed coding a micro:bit and are looking for more fun computing activities, check out Barclays Code Playground on YouTube. The first video – called ‘Building Future Skills’ – introduces the basics of coding in Scratch and is great for beginners – older children could try this independently. The other informative half-hour videos work through fun challenges – like guiding a character round a maze, finding bugs in the code of snowball-throwing game and making music – in real time for children to work alongside. There are loads of useful techniques included in each video that means children will be able to create their own projects using what they’ve learnt.
