National Coding Week

National Coding Week, an annual event in the third week in September, promotes the importance of learning digital skills.

Mission Zero

What can you do in National Coding Week? Sign up to Astro Pi’s Mission Zero. Entries for Mission Zero 2026/2027 are open from 14 September 2026 to 22 March 2027.

Teachers, parents, or club leaders can sign up on behalf of their children. Children will then follow an online tutorial to write their programs and submit them using the classroom code in the Mission Hub.  The programs are deployed and run on the International Space Station!

Mission Zero is great for beginners learning Python, and they can get their code run (for real!) on the International Space Station (ISS).
