New Twilight CPD Courses for primary teachers

Friday 10th March 2017

Science Oxford specialises in providing CPD for primary teachers with a strong hands-on element – if you book or attend one of our courses then you will spend most of your time trying practical activities out for yourselves. All our courses are linked to the new primary curriculum and our goal is to engage and inspire you in science, design and technology and computing and enable you to feel equipped to do the same for your pupils.

We have recently developed several new twilight courses, which can be delivered in your school either as part of your Science Oxford membership package or as a stand-alone event.

Enriching the science curriculum – Do you want to raise the profile of science in your school? This course will look at a number of ways to progress your pupils’ engagement in science through in-school events, competitions and free to access external resources and providers.

Thinking, Doing, Talking Science

Thinking, Doing, Talking Science (TDTS) aims to make science lessons in primary schools more practical, creative and challenging by training teachers in a number of strategies to encourage pupils to use higher order thinking skills. Training in TDTS can be delivered in one full day CPD or now as three separate twilight sessions.

Thinking, Doing, Talking Science full day – A one-day introduction to TDTS strategies.

Thinking, Doing, Talking Science 1 – Bright Ideas Time
Thinking, Doing, Talking Science 2 – Creative Investigations
Thinking, Doing, Talking Science 3 – Focused Recording
