The Name Game: Kids competition to win a year’s free Saturday Club Membership

Sunday 10th December 2017

We’re looking for a new name for our Saturday club for 9-13 year olds. And who better to ask than young people themselves?

Our interactive and creative Saturday club is all about showing how science, technology, engineering and computing make the world go round; think bright sparks, moving parts, amazing art, cool codes and lots of buzz!

Currently the club is called ‘Saturday Science Club Extra’ but for 2018 we want something that packs more of a punch and captures the imagination of 9-13 year-olds so they think,… “Wow – I want to do THAT.”

So, if you’ve got a child or children who are aged 9-13, we’d love to hear their ideas. The new name can be as long or short as they want and doesn’t need to have the word science in it at all- and they can enter as many times as they have new ideas!

There’s a prize for the person who comes up with the winning new name – not only will they have their idea immortalised in the name of the club, they’ll also get a year’s membership to the Saturday club itself – worth over £100.

Send us your entries with a quick photo, sketch, drawing or design of the name:

Via Twitter, Facebook or Instagram @scienceoxford using the hashtag #newclubname

Or by emailing us at [email protected]

Deadline for entries 2nd January 2018
