Make a splash at the Earth Trust Autumn Water Festival

Monday 26th September 2016

Autumn has arrived, and we can look forward to some wonderful autumnal-themed festivals and events for all the family to enjoy! Join us on Sunday 2nd October between 11AM and 4PM with the Science Oxford team at the Oxford Trust’s sister charity, the Earth Trust’s Autumn Water Festival annual celebration of water and wetlands. We’ll be running a family drop-in activity where children can design and decorate their own water rocket to launch across the Clumps and watch it soar. Will your rocket fly the highest?

Don’t forget to bring along a 2L plastic bottle to decorate and launch, this time with a foot-powered pump!

  • Feed the pigs – watch the pigs getting a special treat as they’re fed the mushed up fruit used in the apple press (nothing goes to waste!)
  • Make a blooming flower with Science Through Story
  • Become a dung beetle detective with the Oxford University Musuem of Natural History
  • Pumpkin hunt and aquatic quiz

Plus more games, crafts and activities. Poem Tree Cafe will be open, plus there’ll be a hog roast from Coopers Oxford Pork and produce for sale from their Farm Step tenants.
