Flavour of the month – free CPD workshop for primary teachers with Flavour Sense-Nation

Thursday 18th January 2018

We have teamed up with Flavour SenseNation (FSN) to offer a tasty free science CPD session for primary teachers that will get your senses tingling. Thanks to funding from the Wellcome Trust, FSN have been uncovering the hidden science behind our appreciation of food and flavour since 2011 and this project links our food choices to the senses, health and the environment through fun and interactive teaching.

This hands-on twilight session takes place at the Oxford Centre of Innovation on Thursday, 1st February 2018, from 4PM – 6PM. We will supply you with the skills and knowledge to take these activities into your classroom and we will even give every attendee a kit pack to get you started.

After the session, there’s plenty of support for you to run the activities with your class. FSN have taken a fresh look at teaching resources for primary science and the result is a suite of online resource sheets and kits. All of the plans are highly practical, cross-curricular and have been classroom-tested.

Book your free place here and if you have any questions, contact Sophie at [email protected]. Places are limited, so book early!
