Summer Conservation Day
Get out of the house and enjoy nature, fresh air and exercise at Stansfeld Park for our Summer Conservation Day, in association with the Oxford Conservation Volunteers (OCV). We need your help to conserve our urban woodland so that wildlife can flourish and it can be enjoyed by our school and family visitors when our centre reopens in August. We’ll be cutting and raking our meadows now they’ve flowered, cutting back the spring growth (we all need a lockdown haircut!), clearing pathways and generally preparing the site for visitors.
Join us from 9:45 – 16:00; Please bring your own refreshments and be prepared to work outdoors.
Under 18’s must be supervised by an adult. If you have any questions or would like to come along, please register in advance with OCV leader Chris Skepper on [email protected]. We will have sanitiser stations at the access gate, sinks will be available for hand washing and toilets will be accessible on the day. Social distancing measures will be in place – for more information contact Chris or visit ocv.org.uk/faq.
Run in partnership with the amazing OCV, we are working to rejuvenate the 15 acres of woodland, ponds and grassland at Stansfeld and create a fantastic space for primary school visitors and the local community to enjoy.
