Saturday Science Club Oxford – Cancelled

CANCELLED

Mini-magicians master the science of illusion to conjure up mind – and light – bending tricks before your very eyes! They’ll see the world turn upside-down as we build a pin-hole camera to take home, explore the art of early animation by making moving images from stills with a spooky zoetrope – and create the illusion of colour from monochrome, with Benham’s spinning discs. A magic session for aspiring David Blaine’s and Fay Presto’s – but no spoilers, keep it under your magician’s hat!

We regret to announce this event has been cancelled.

We are cancelling our public events until further notice and will review our programme after Easter. If you require any further information, please contact us. In the meantime, please keep up-to-date with Science Oxford by following us on social media. Thank you for your support and understanding. We look forward to welcoming you back to our Science Oxford Centre soon.

All Saturday Science Club sessions must be accompanied by an adult. Please make sure you have at least 1 adult for every 2 children attending.

Science Oxford welcomes all children to our clubs. If you or your child has additional needs, please get in touch on [email protected] to discuss how we can best support your child to make the most of the club.

Science Oxford is committed to inclusion and we recognise that cost is sometimes a barrier. Funded places for eligible families are now available, thanks to the Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust. Families could be eligible for these places for several reasons; for example, if your child receives free school meals or is a looked-after child. To find out more and to book one of these places, please contact [email protected].
