There has never been a more important time in our planet’s history to explore new ways to create clean energy than now. And much of that exploration takes place right here in Oxfordshire. The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) manages the UK fusion programme at the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (CCFE) – one of the world’s leading fusion research laboratories. CCFE scientists and engineers are working with partners around the globe to develop fusion as a new source of clean energy for tomorrow’s power stations.

As part of their outreach work, CCFE run tours of the Joint European Torus (JET), currently the world’s largest fusion reactor. They’re offering members of The Presenter Network a chance to take a tour of JET and learn more about fusion research.

If you are interested in this event but may have trouble travelling to Culham, please contact us on [email protected]. Are you driving and able to offer someone a lift? Please email us too – and thank you in advance.
