Nature Club – Wild Trackers (ages 5-9)
As nature springs to life, our intrepid adventurers investigate wildlife and learn how to track animals, Bear Grylls-style! Take a walk in our woodland to spot habitats and signs of life, and identify who’s-who from clues left behind. Back in the workshop, make paw-print Plaster of Paris casts, and compare finds from fur, feathers, poo or pellets. Take home a Wild Tracker sheet and go on your own expedition to see what creatures are nearby… they may be closer than you think!

Event Details
All Saturday Club sessions must be accompanied by an adult. These family workshops are designed for you and your child to learn from each other and work together while trying out new things.
Nature Club is usually held in our workshop space, with some outdoor activities in most sessions, weather permitting. Explore the natural world in different ways each month, where you will be making the most of the beautiful surroundings at the Science Oxford Centre. With ponds, woodlands and meadows on our doorstep, children can explore and investigate the plants and animals that live alongside us, discover the simple beauty of natural objects and learn how everything in an ecosystem is interconnected. Watch our short film.
Additional Support:
Our skilled staff ensure that every child can access the activities and differentiate to engage all children.
If your child has specific additional needs, please get in touch via eve[email protected] to discuss how they can be best supported.
Science Oxford is committed to inclusion, and we recognise that cost is sometimes a barrier so are working with schools and community groups to provide funded places to individuals to remove the barriers where we can.
