We’re going to be busy this weekend as both Cowley and Eynsham go fiesta crazy!
On Saturday 1st July we’ll be at Eynsham Carnival where entertainment includes a shirt race, parade, craft fair and funfair. Science Oxford has a stand there and we will be making all kinds of bubbles and daring people to sit on our ‘seat of nails.’
You can read all about the Eynsham carnival here.
On Sunday 2nd July, we’ll be partying at the Cowley Road Carnival, now in its 17th year.
This year, the theme is Industry and Technology, featuring the amazing ‘Colossus Returns‘ gigante street performance to lead the parade, celebrating the ‘Giants of Science’. The carnival team has introduced a special Science Zone near the UPP, and in the spirit of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, we’re going to be making sherbet pots using a special recipe that can only discover through lots of experimenting. It’ll be great fun for all the family and you can take home what you make.
Cowley Road Carnival runs from 11AM-5PM with the parade starting at 12.30PM. Read more about Carnival here.
