Behaviour expectations

Science Oxford is committed to ensuring all children, our team and volunteers feel that the activities organised as part of any of our clubs are always conducted in a safe and positive environment.

We strive to deliver a programme that is Science Oxford is committed to ensuring all children, our team and volunteers feel that the activities organised as part of any of our clubs are always conducted in a safe and positive environment., where all children who attend are comfortable to participate, to work with each other, and to fully benefit from an enjoyable and fulfilling experience.

We expect children to:

• be supportive and kind to others
• treat everyone with respect
• listen to others
• be helpful
• be polite
• take responsibility for their own behaviour
• feel able to talk to a member of the Science Oxford Centre staff about anything that worries or concerns them
• follow this code of behaviour and any other rules
• join in.

If a child’s behaviour is contrary to these qualities and results in an unpleasant or unsafe experience for themself, other children or our team, we will act in accordance with our Behaviour Management Policy, and if required, our Safeguarding Policy.

If behaviour cannot be resolved after due process and careful consideration, the parent/guardian may be asked to remove the child from the club.
