Over the summer, we toured libraries across the county with our Animal Agents show, which explored nature’s cleverest creatures and tested out their skills of camouflage, super-sense, defence and fighting.
We performed the show, which we ran in partnership with Raintree Publishers and Oxford County Council Library Service, in twenty different venues across Oxfordshire. As a follow-up, we challenged our young audiences to design animal agents of their own, and we had some amazing entries! Tigers were a popular theme, with one of our runner up agents also being ‘stronger than a dragon’. Thanks to everyone who sent in an entry, it was wonderful to see all your creative ideas.
But we could only choose two winners – so well done to:
- Lily (aged 8) whose ‘tigertastic’ agent, Prince, has a cool ice ray as his special gadget.
- George (aged 7), whose agent is a fearsome, 10cm long, insect, the Deadly Mantis!
Both of our winners have been sent a set of books donated by Raintree.
