Make a game using PyGame Zero and join in our hackathon ‘Game Jam’ in the afternoon! Learn new coding skills in the morning, before joining a team to create your own epic game, perhaps set in a castle, cityscape or space – team up and get Gaming! For young people who enjoy coding and want to learn more. Families can join for the grand finale at 4.30PM!

Using our Game as a starting point, learn about design and structure with PyGame Zero and Python and grow the Game; add items and quests, and keep track of the Avatar’s money and health – you can download or design your own backgrounds and ‘sprites’. Work in a team to create a game around the day’s theme, to be revealed on the day!

Game Jam Day is unaccompanied

Children will need to bring a packed lunch and a water bottle.
