Update on Science Oxford and COVID-19

Tuesday 31st March 2020

Following Government recommendations to minimise the risk of person-to-person transmission of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have temporarily closed our Science Oxford programme. This means our Science Oxford Centre is shut and outreach visits to schools, kit loan and CPD training as well as our STEM Careers Programme are cancelled. All our public events and clubs are also cancelled until further notice.

We are emailing schools direct who have visits booked to our Science Oxford Centre as well as those with bookings for outreach visits and schools involved with our STEM Careers Programme. We have also contacted families with tickets booked to our events and clubs to let them know. We are continually reviewing the situation and will let you know when our Science Oxford programme is up and running again.

Like many other organisations in the UK, we are finding ways of operating from home that will allow us to stay connected and continue the work of Science Oxford. Our team is looking at how we can continue to help teachers and families to inspire young people about science, technology, engineering and maths. We are also planning for the future and developing some exciting new additions to our Science Oxford Centre programme. We will be in touch soon.

If you require any further information, please contact us. In the meantime, please keep up-to-date with Science Oxford by following us on social media or sign up for our newsletter.

Thank you for your support and understanding in these difficult times. We look forward to welcoming you back to our Science Oxford Centre soon.
