We’ll be exploring cause and effect by time travelling back into the 17th century to investigate Newton’s laws of motion. For the first law, young experimenters will hone their investigative skills using marble mazes to deduce what makes things move. For the second, we’ll be hitting things to see how far they travel, but how hard is needed to navigate around our mini-golf course? And thirdly, for every action, there’s an equal and opposite reaction: a task that will see children and adults working together to build Newton’s very own cradle.

All Saturday Science Club sessions must be accompanied by an adult.

Science Oxford welcomes all children to our clubs. If you or your child has additional needs, please get in touch on [email protected] to discuss how we can best support your child to make the most of the club.

Science Oxford is committed to inclusion and we recognise that cost is sometimes a barrier. Funded places for eligible families are now available, thanks to the Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust. Families could be eligible for these places for several reasons; for example, if your child receives free school meals or is a looked-after child. To find out more and to book one of these places, please contact [email protected].
